--------------------------------------- 1/ Why using those launchers? If you encountered some issue launching Blocks That Matter on Linux --------------------------------------- 2/ What launcher should I use? First of all, you should download the little one: btm_launcher.zip If it doesn't solve your launching issue, then download and use the big one: btm_launcher_embed_jre.zip --------------------------------------- 3/ How to use those zip files? Download, then copy the content of those archives in the Blocks That MAtter game directory, erasing already existing files with the same names. (the game directory can by in /opt/BlocksThatMatter, depending what package you used to install the game in the forst place) Both of those zip contains "BTM" and "BTM_launcher_linux.sh", the biggest zip contains 2 extra folders "jre" and "bin". Don't forget to give those files executable rights (in a terminal): sudo chmod a+x BTM sudo chmod a+x BTM_launcher_linux.sh sudo chmod -R a+x jre (only if you took the biggest zip file) sudo chmod -R a+x bin (only if you took the biggest zip file) --------------------------------------- 4/ What's next? Next, try to launch the game, if it still not launching/crashing, try the remaining zip file. If you tryed both, then keep me in touch, and we will try something else: guillaume@swingswingsubmarine.com Thanks! ---------------------------------------
